Klarity maps and anonymizes every task while sending Signals back to highlight what they do well. Structure: Klarity agents consolidate activity across the enterprise into a Company Brain: how work gets done, how decisions are made, how approvals flow, how controls are enforced, when work actually happens. Improve: Against your business objectives, Klarity finds the right opportunities for agents, builds those agents, and redesigns the people, process, and rituals around them.

We shipped GPT-4 document chat within 12 hours of OpenAI's API launch. We move fast, reward agency, and care deeply about our customers, our team, and our mission. Most recruiting roles are about running the machine. This one is about building it. You'll build the systems, the AI workflows, and the talent narrative for a company hiring the top 1% of AI talent — to ship products used by OpenAI, Stripe, Uber, and DoorDash. We're already on prompt v9 in our internal screening pipeline. We need someone who takes it to v50. About Klarity Klarity (YC S18) partners with Fortune 500 companies like ServiceNow, JLL, and Moody's, and frontier AI companies like OpenAI, DoorDash, Uber, and Stripe to deliver real AI outcomes. Traditional transformation playbooks take years, burn millions, and leave teams exhausted. Klarity upgrades the script: continuous, compounding improvements that everyone participates in. We're not looking for someone to maintain an existing recruiting machine. We're looking for someone excited to build one. Read This Before Applying We're building Klarity differently. The right founding recruiter genuinely shares this philosophy — they don't tolerate it. We hire exponential contributors, not headcount. A small team of exceptional people, augmented by AI, will outperform a large team of good people. Every hire should meaningfully increase our collective capability. If you're energized by building large teams and tracking req counts, this isn't the right role. We are AI-native in how we operate. We use AI throughout our hiring process and expect every person we hire to be AI-native in their work. You should already have gained 200–300% efficiency in your own workflow over the last two years — and have a real point of view on what creates leverage and what doesn't. Curiosity isn't enough; we want hands-on practice and outcomes. We do not build sprawling HR infrastructure. No programs for the sake of programs. No enterprise HR software stack. Every system you build should be lean, high-signal, and tied to outcomes. If you've spent your career building HR organizations at traditional companies, this role will frustrate you. We are high-intensity and mission-driven. Klarity isn't for people seeking work-life balance in the traditional sense. The people who thrive here are energized by hard problems and high standards — not drained by them. We are in-person. Five days a week, San Francisco. Our culture is built on proximity. This is a firm requirement. If this sounds like the environment you've been looking for, keep reading. If it sounds exhausting or misguided, we're not the right fit. The Role This is a hands-on, founding role at the intersection of recruiting execution, systems design, and AI-enabled workflows. You'll own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles while defining how hiring operates as Klarity scales. Klarity's People organization is actively evolving — including an ongoing search for a VP of People — which means team structure, systems, and ownership are still taking shape. This role is best suited for someone who sees that as an opportunity, not a risk. You won't inherit a mature recruiting function. You'll build the structure, workflows, and operating rhythm that make hiring scalable and predictable over time. In the near term: identify and close exceptional talent in highly competitive markets. We shipped GPT-4 document chat within 12 hours of OpenAI's API launch. We move fast, reward agency, and care deeply about our customers, our team, and our mission. The Role We're hiring Senior Backend + Applied AI Engineers to build the core systems that power Klarity's multimodal agents in real enterprise environments. This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of distributed systems and applied AI: you'll design and ship backend services that ingest messy real-world data, orchestrate model/agent workflows, enforce enterprise-grade security and deliver reliable outcomes at scale. You'll work closely with product, design, and other engineers to turn ambitious AI capabilities into production-grade features that Fortune 500 enterprises can depend on. We care deeply about engineering fundamentals (correctness, observability, security, performance) and equally about iteration speed - because in this space, only the teams who ship quality products & features at incredible velocity win. You'll set technical direction for critical subsystems and mentor engineers earlier in their careers - raising the bar for the entire team. Note : We do not require a CS or Engineering degree. We care about your ability to ship, your systems thinking, and evidence of strong execution - whether through production work, open-source contributions, research, or high-quality side projects. Who You Are Backend engineer with sharp product judgment - You design and build services, APIs, data models, and infrastructure that are reliable, observable, secure, and fast. You can explain architectural tradeoffs as fluently as you can debate the right abstraction boundary. You optimize for outcomes - developer velocity, latency, correctness, uptime - and not just for elegance in the abstract. You've been the person teams turn to when a design review needs a tiebreaker. Systems thinker with uncommon foresight - You see around corners. While solving today's stated requirements, you anticipate how services will need to evolve - functionally and non-functionally. You design for the future but build for the present, and you never let architectural dogma slow the team down. You've designed at least one system from scratch that other engineers now build on top of and is used in production at scale. You establish patterns and conventions that become team defaults. Applied AI builder who ships to production - You're energized by LLMs, multimodal agents, orchestration protocols, and the messy work of making the entire AI stack reliable. You think instinctively in terms of evals, model regression tests, traceability, and exception handling. You've shipped multiple AI-powered features to production and have hard-won opinions about orchestration patterns, eval frameworks, and failure modes at scale. AI-native developer across the entire SDLC - You wield tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot as extensions of your craft. You are extremely confident to run concurrent agents doing your chores reliably. You use AI to generate technical designs, scaffold APIs, draft schemas, write tests, and build migration plans. You've built custom workflows and internal tooling around AI-assisted development that others on your team have adopted. Ship with velocity and craft - You find the shortest path to get features into users' hands while obsessing over the detai

We shipped GPT-4 document chat within 12 hours of OpenAI's API launch. We move fast, reward agency, and care deeply about our customers, our team, and our mission. About the Role Klarity is seeking an Alliances Director to own and develop our relationships with Big-4 and management consulting firms — some of the most consequential partnerships in our go-to-market strategy. In this role, you'll report directly to the SVP, Head of Go-to-Market and will be responsible for transforming how the world's largest professional services firms adopt, deploy, and co-sell Klarity across their enterprise practices. This is a role that requires diplomatic precision. You'll navigate a nuanced dynamic: Klarity compresses the discovery and documentation work that consulting firms have historically billed for, while simultaneously making their engagements more profitable and their clients happier. The best person for this job understands that tension intuitively and can turn it into a compelling partnership story — helping firms show up differently and accelerate time-to-value delivery for their end customers. You'll orchestrate the complete relationship across multiple dimensions: consulting firms as customers (using Klarity to modernize their own delivery), as co-selling partners (jointly delivering to enterprise clients), and as channels (sell-through, sell-to, and white/grey-label motions). This includes defining where Klarity invests resources, which markets and verticals receive focus, structuring partnerships for maximum mutual value, and ongoing coordination and multi-threading internally with Klarity executives and account teams. This role requires someone who can hold their own in boardroom-level meetings with Big-4 leadership while simultaneously rolling up their sleeves to drive execution on the ground. You're as comfortable in a strategy session with a Managing Director as you are building the enablement materials that help 10,000 consultants understand what Klarity does — without needing to train each one individually. What You'll Do Own the strategic roadmap, investment decisions, and revenue accountability for Klarity's consulting alliances portfolio, with a target of driving $25M+ in annual partner-sourced revenue Build and maintain executive relationships within Big-4 and management consulting leadership to position Klarity as the foundational technology for their transformation and advisory practices Develop scalable enablement programs that help consulting firms' workforces understand Klarity's capabilities without requiring one-to-one training Design and operationalize partner economics across sell-to, sell-through, and white/grey-label models, ensuring commercially sound structures that scale Partner with consulting firms to co-develop industry-specific solutions and reference engagements that showcase Klarity's unique capabilities in process intelligence, speed-to-insight, and continuous improvement Diplomatically navigate the displacement dynamic — Klarity compresses traditional consulting discovery timelines, so you'll position that as a feature (not a threat) that makes their engagements more profitable Lead the pursuit of significant enterprise deals through partnerships, ensuring proper positioning and support throughout complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles Establish success criteria for joint acc

The Role We're looking for an AI Product Engineer who's excited to work at the intersection of product thinking and technical execution. You may be early in your career, but you already have strong instincts for what makes a great product — and the technical chops to start building it. You'll work alongside senior engineers and product leaders, owning meaningful pieces of features from customer insight through production. Who You Are Product thinker with engineering foundations — You have budding product instincts and a genuine interest in understanding users. Your technical background (CS fundamentals, React, TypeScript, Python) lets you prototype ideas and ship MVPs — you're building toward independence and learning fast along the way. Energized by customer discovery — You're genuinely curious about customer problems and eager to get in front of users. You're comfortable joining customer calls, asking thoughtful questions, and developing product conviction through real conversations. Strong UX sensibility and visual taste — You're not a trained designer, but you know what good UX looks like. Your enthusiasm for building products people love raises the bar for the entire team. Experience: 0-2 years in product management or product engineering roles What You'll Do Own meaningful pieces of product features — Work with senior team members to understand customer problems, then take ownership of scoped parts of the solution — from prototyping through shipping. You'll learn to make product and UX decisions with real technical context. Build and ship across the stack — Write code in React, TypeScript, and Python to bring ideas to life. Use AI-assisted development tools to move fast. Ship MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate. Learn to bridge AI and user needs — Work alongside engineers and AI researchers to understand what's technically possible, then help translate that into experiences customers love. You'll develop judgment about where AI creates real value versus unnecessary complexity. Grow through experimentation — Build conviction by shipping and learning, not by theorizing. You can discuss the tradeoffs of Server Components versus Client Components just as fluently as you can critique spacing and visual hierarchy. Expert in modern web technologies - React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind aren't just in your toolkit—you've truly mastered them. You understand the performance consequences of your architectural decisions and ship code that's both elegant and performant. AI-native developer with creative problem-solving chops - You wield tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0.dev, and Lovable as extensions of your craft. You use AI to prototype 10 variations in the time it used to take to build one, letting you focus on the hard problems: information architecture, user flows, and delightful interactions. Ship with velocity and craft - You find the shortest path to get features in front of users while obsessing over the details that create delight. You catch when animations feel off by 50ms or color contrast doesn't meet WCAG standards. You believe speed and quality aren't opposites—they happen together when you're thoughtful about how you build. Drive outcomes with product thinking - You move from prototype to user feedback to iteration to production with speed and conviction. You own features end-to-end, challenge designs that compromise user experience, and care deeply about the entire user journey. You shape the product through action, not waiting for permission. Bring energy that elevates others - You see "impossible" UI challenges as puzzles waiting to be solved. Your optimism, intensity, and passion for craft are contagious and make the team stronger. Experience: 4+ years of shipping production-grade products What You'll Do Architect scalable front-end systems - Design reusable component libraries, establish patterns for state management and API integration, optimize bundle sizes, and ensure the platform performs beautifully at scale. You'll work across the full spectrum from responsive layouts to micro-interactions, with bonus points for diving into Python backends when needed. You're comfortable running user interviews, asking tough questions, and building product conviction through real conversations. Strong UX sensibility and visual taste - You're not a trained designer, but you know what good UX looks like. You make informed decisions about user flows, information architecture, and interactions independently. You care about spacing, hierarchy, and details. Shipped AI-native features to production - You've shipped AI-native features and understand the product tradeoffs: how to scope around non-determinism, when AI adds genuine value versus complexity, and how to set user expectations for probabilistic systems. You make informed product decisions about where to apply cutting-edge AI. AI-native builder who moves fast - You use AI coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, and Replit to prototype rapidly and test product directions with real code. AI lets you validate 10 ideas in the time it used to take to build one. Own outcomes, not just features - You define success metrics, talk to users, analyze data, and iterate based on learnings. You pivot quickly when something isn't working and double down when you find traction. Bring energy that elevates others - You see hard product problems as puzzles to solve through customer insight and rapid experimentation. Your enthusiasm for building products people love raises the bar for the entire team. What You'll Do Own product features end-to-end - Talk to customers to understand their problems, define what to build (including UX and interaction patterns), scope the MVP, ship it to production, measure results, and iterate. You're responsible for both the "what" and the "how it feels." You make product and UX decisions with full technical context. Build and ship rapidly - Write code across the full stack to bring product ideas to life. Use AI tools to accelerate development and explore multiple solutions. Ship MVPs to learn fast, then iterate based on real user feedback and data. Bridge AI capabilities with user needs - Partner with engineers and AI researchers to understand what's possible, then translate that into product experiences that solve real customer problems. You identify where cutting-edge AI can create step-change value versus where simpler solutions win. Define product strategy through experimentation - Use rapid prototyping and user testing to inform product d

You understand tenant isolation at every layer: network, compute, storage, and application. You’ve navigated the complexity of deploying the same application across multi-tenant SaaS, single-tenant dedicated, and hybrid (split control-plane / data-plane) topologies. Security engineer who thinks like an attacker – You proactively identify and close security gaps before they become incidents. You’ve implemented secrets management, vulnerability scanning, SAST/DAST pipelines, runtime threat detection, and incident response playbooks. You understand supply chain security, container hardening, and network segmentation at a deep level. You’ve been the person the team turns to when a security incident needs triaging at 2 AM.
