About the Role We’re hiring a Founding GTM Manager to help build and scale the commercial engine for Vector Legal. Vector Legal is an AI-native law firm and legal operating system for startups, combining experienced startup counsel with an AI-powered legal platform to help founders move faster across financings, contracts, hiring, governance, diligence, and legal operations. This role sits at the intersection of sales, customer development, founder relationships, and go-to-market strategy. You’ll work directly with the founding team to identify high-intent startup customers, run outbound and inbound sales motions, refine messaging, support customer onboarding, and turn early traction into a repeatable GTM system. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to operate close to the founders, sell a category-defining product, and help shape how startups buy legal services in an AI-native world. What You’ll Do Build and manage outbound campaigns targeting startup founders, operators, and finance/legal decision-makers Own the early sales funnel from prospecting through qualification, demos, follow-up, and close support Develop GTM messaging around Vector Legal’s core offerings, including startup counsel, financings, contracts, data rooms, cap tables, and AI-assisted legal workflows Work closely with founders to identify ICP patterns, buying triggers, objections, and expansion opportunities Manage CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting, and weekly GTM metrics Support inbound lead follow-up and help convert founder interest into active customer conversations Create lightweight sales collateral, email sequences, founder-facing materials, and vertical-specific messaging Partner with product and legal teams to translate customer feedback into clearer packaging, positioning, and product priorities Help design repeatable processes for onboarding, referrals, partnerships, and customer success handoffs Represent Vector Legal with a high degree of professionalism, judgment, and urgency in founder-facing conversations Qualifications 2 to 5 years of experience in GTM, sales, business development, founder-facing customer success, or startup operations Experience selling or supporting B2B, SaaS, legal tech, fintech, or startup-focused services preferred Strong written communication skills and ability to write clear, direct, high-converting founder-facing copy Comfort running outbound, managing a pipeline, and speaking with startup founders and executives Strong commercial judgment and ability to understand customer pain quickly Highly organized, metrics-oriented, and comfortable owning a CRM and sales process from scratch Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment Strong product intuition and interest in AI, legal services, startups, or professional services transformation High agency, low ego, and a willingness to do both strategic GTM work and hands-on execution Comfort working directly with founders and iterating quickly based on market feedback

About the Role We’re hiring an experienced attorney to serve as both a client-facing legal advisor and a core contributor to our platform. This is a hybrid role combining traditional legal practice with product-minded thinking, working directly with startup clients while helping shape how legal services are delivered through our system. You’ll operate across a broad range of startup legal work, with exposure to areas like commercial contracting, trademarks/IP, and M&A. In parallel, you’ll work closely with engineering and product to translate legal expertise into scalable workflows, playbooks, and platform features. This role is best suited for someone who has strong judgment, is comfortable owning client relationships, and is excited about rethinking how legal services are built and delivered. What You’ll Do Serve as lead counsel for startup clients across corporate, commercial, and transactional matters Advise on a range of issues including fundraising, contracts, IP/trademarks, and M&A Draft, review, and negotiate key legal documents across the company lifecycle Build and refine legal playbooks, templates, and best practices Collaborate with product and engineering to translate legal workflows into platform features Contribute to the development of scalable, repeatable legal processes Support and mentor junior legal team members and paralegals Maintain high standards of legal quality while operating in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment Qualifications JD and active membership in the California Bar 5–12 years of experience at a law firm or in-house legal team Strong expertise in startup law, including corporate, fundraising, and governance Experience in one or more of: commercial contracting, trademarks/IP, data privacy, or M&A Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and operate autonomously Strong drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills Interest in legal technology and building scalable systems preferred Experience in a startup or high-growth environment strongly preferred Eligible to receive Equity.

This role is focused on applied AI, turning real-world legal workflows into reliable, agent-driven systems that operate over documents, messages, and structured data. You’ll work at the core of our AI layer, building agents, evaluation systems, and data pipelines that directly impact how legal work is performed. The environment is highly iterative and performance-driven, with a strong emphasis on reliability, correctness, and real-world usability, not just demos. What You’ll Do Design and deploy LLM-powered systems for document understanding, drafting, and workflow automation Build and orchestrate agent-based systems (e.g., LangChain / Deep Agents) for complex, multi-step tasks Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, reliability, and regressions Implement data pipelines for ingesting and structuring documents (including OCR workflows) Improve system performance through prompt design, retrieval strategies, and tool integration Work closely with product and engineering to translate legal workflows into AI-native systems Debug and optimize long-running agent jobs and failure modes in production Contribute to overall AI architecture, including memory, context management, and retrieval layers Qualifications 3–7 years of engineering experience, or a strong track record building and shipping AI systems (excluding internships) Proficiency in TypeScript and experience building production backend systems Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and agent architectures Experience designing and running evals (benchmarks, test sets, regression tracking) Familiarity with document processing pipelines, including OCR and unstructured data extraction Strong understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval (RAG), and tool-augmented generation Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and own systems end-to-end Startup or high-velocity experience preferred
