We’re looking for candidates to grow our revenue across a portfolio of Outerport’s largest and most strategic enterprise customers in the APAC region (with a large focus on Japan). In this role you may: Own and drive relationships with Outerport’s largest and most complex enterprise customers across manufacturing OEMs, semiconductor equipment, heavy industries, EPC, chemical manufacturing, and more. Build trusted relationships with executive, technical, and operational stakeholders across mutliple business units. Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive new revenue and expansions. Lead deal planning and close plans across new business and renewals. Partner closely with delivery and product teams to deliver compelling value propositions to customers. Act as the voice of customers internally to influence product roadmap. Maintain deep understanding of customer problems. We’re looking for candidates with experience working in process engineering and related roles across EPC, chemical manufacturing, heavy industries, and semiconductor equipment & manufacturing. You help build products and agents that help various functions within these industires, and provide expert feedback and design guidance as well as aid in prototyping for product features. As part of our founding team you may: Provide feedback on product deliverables for our customers as well as new product directions Participate in meetings with our customers as a subject matter expert Build agents and various prototypes for use cases in EPC, chemical manufacturing, heavy industries, and semiconductor equipment & manufacturing Help scale up our data pipelines from both simulations as well as real hardware Required Qualifications: Professional experience in EPC, chemical manufacturing, heavy industries, and semiconductor equipment & manufacturing, or related industries Preferred Qualifications (depending on the exact focus industry): Experience in process design, equipment selection, techno-economic tradeoff analyses, HAZOP analyses, etc Experience writing and reviewing process deliverables such as P&IDs, mass & energy balances, equipment sizing calculations, etc Experience using various simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, COMSOL, Simulink, Hexagon Smart P&ID, TCAD, EDA) Experience designing and executing experiments, interpreting complex results, and deriving actionable insights from data sets to optimize manufacturing processes Experience in statistical process control methods

We’re looking for candidates with experience building reinforcement learning-based LLM training pipelines. As part of our founding team you may: Train reinforcement learning-based LLMs to solve tasks in the domain of materials science, chemical engineering, and engineering science Integrate simulation tools and real hardware to collect data Work with and source data from vendors Evaluate, test, and deploy models Qualifications (none of these are hard requirements) Industry experience or projects working on hard problems in machine learning (with Python / PyTorch) Being scrappy (getting things done, over theoretical soundness) Publication record in venues like ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, and others Good visual taste / an appreciation for aesthetics A reputation for having an “engineering mindset” Strong communication skills Experience working with various engineering simulation tools (e.g. CAE, EDA tools) Interest in manufacturing, engineering, EPC, semiconductors, materials science

We’re looking for candidates to own the technical delivery for our enterprise customers in North America and APAC region (especially Japan). If you enjoy working directly with customers, bridging between different stakeholders, also in a fast paced environment, you’re likely a fit for this role. We’re looking for candidates with experience building complex interactive products. If you enjoy writing code for interactive experiences, have experience architecting schemas and backend architectures, in a fast paced environment, you’re likely a fit for this role. As part of our founding product team you may: Understand and be an expert on customer problems in the domains of EPC, manufacturing, materials, semiconductors Build AI agents that can solve customer problems (specifically problems like design generation, design checking, parameter optimization, simulation runs, design of experiment, etc) Build interactive interfaces to work with visual data (documents, CAD drawings, etc) Invent novel interfaces / products that are dynamically reconfigurable with LLM coding Architect heterogeneous (CPU + GPU) backend architectures that are performant Work on workflow orchestration systems Qualifications (none of these are hard requirements) Industry experience with our tech stack (TypeScript, Python, Next.js, React, AWS, very occasionally Rust / WebGL) Experience building data labeling tools, workflow orchestration systems, and other interactive applications Experience using various simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, COMSOL, Simulink, Hexagon Smart P&ID, TCAD, EDA) Good visual taste / an appreciation for aesthetics Strong communication skills Interest in manufacturing / engineering / EPC

We’re looking for candidates with an interest or knack in solving visual computing problems (computer vision, graphics, CAD, rotating a shape). If enjoy writing code for things you can see, also in a fast paced environment, you’re likely a fit for this role.
