GrowthBook

Open source feature flagging and A/B testing

Hiring — 5 openYC-W22B2B -> AnalyticsGrowth

What GrowthBook does

GrowthBook is an open source platform to help companies make data-driven product decisions with feature flags and A/B tests. Existing SaaS solutions like LaunchDarkly require a company to send all of their data to them. This results in high costs, data compliance issues, and vendor lock-in. As a result, many companies end up building their own platforms in-house, which can take thousands of hours of work and lots of headaches. To solve this, GrowthBook uses a company's existing data infrastructure and business metrics. We believe feature flags and experimentation are the right way to build products at scale and that they will become a standard part of the development process. GrowthBook is well positioned to be a leader in this growing market.

Demand Generation Manager
US / CA / Remote (US; CA)Full-time3+ years$140K - $150KVisa: US citizen/visa only
What the role involves

The role GrowthBook powers experimentation for Khan Academy, Dropbox, Pepsi, and Sony, and 3,000+ other companies, and most of the market still hasn't heard of us. This job exists to help bridge that gap. You'll work directly with our Director of Demand Generation to build out the demand engine: ads, webinars, nurtures, emails, campaigns, reporting, and everything in between. We have channels that work and early wins to build on. What we don't have is a finished playbook. You'll help write it, then watch the company scale on what you built. We have two motions and you'll help feed both: self-serve signups from developers, product, and experimentation teams who find us through open source, and pipeline for our sales team selling to enterprises. What you'll do Help run paid acquisition (Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, programmatic, and whatever we discover works) Build and improve email and nurture programs across the full journey, from first docs visit to free user to sales conversation Partner with content and product marketing to turn what they make into pipeline: launches, webinars, guides, customer stories Assist on event marketing, from planning and promotion through the follow-up that turns attendees into opportunities Help build integrated campaigns that tie channels together around product moments, key audiences, and what we learn along the way Report on what matters: signups, pipeline, and revenue influenced, not vanity metrics Document what works as you go, because you're helping write the playbook the team will scale with What you'll bring 3–5 years in B2B demand generation or growth marketing Experience marketing technical SaaS to technical audiences (developers, data teams, product teams) and the judgment to know what they'll ignore Hands-on paid media skills across at least a few of: Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, programmatic Comfort with ambiguity. You'd rather have open questions and room to run than a tidy lane. Fluency with a modern stack (HubSpot or Marketo, plus intent and analytics tools like Reo.dev) and the data skills to know if your campaigns actually worked You use AI in your daily workflows, especially the repetitive parts of demand gen Nice to have Experience at an open-source or PLG company with a sales-assisted motion You've run your own A/B tests on campaigns and landing pages ABM experience  What we offer Competitive salary and bonus 100% remote work from anywhere in North America Health, vision, and dental benefits (we cover 100% of the cost for employees and 95% for dependents) 401K plan, plus % matching Generous tech stipend for your home office (or co-working space) Regular off-sites in exciting places (our latest one was in Hawaii, and the one before that in the Dominican Republic) GrowthBook is an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all employees. If this role excites you but you don't check every box, apply anyway. Builders rarely fit templates.

US / Remote (US)Full-time3+ years$170K - $210K0.05% - 0.10% equityVisa: US citizen/visa only
What the role involves

We’re a Series A startup with a fast-growing user base and a small, passionate team. We're looking for our first Solutions Engineer to help scale our go-to-market efforts and support our technical customers through every phase of the journey, from pre-sales to post-sales integration and onboarding. What You’ll Do You will partner with an Account Executive during pre-sales to scope solutions, answer technical questions, and lead product demos for technical audiences. You will also act as a trusted technical advisor during onboarding and post-sale implementation. Here are some examples of things you might help customers with: We’re open source and some customers want to self-host the platform. They may need architecture recommendations and general infrastructure help. This includes integrating with their identity provider and observability tools. We have SDKs for back-end, front-end, mobile, and edge. It’s not always clear which one a customer should use (e.g. should they add us to their mobile app directly or proxy through a back-end service?). They may also have specific questions around caching strategies, performance, and fault tolerance. We are warehouse native and connect to our customer’s existing data (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.). They may have questions around db schema design, security, and performance/cost optimization. You will also serve as the voice of the customer, translating feedback into product improvements in collaboration with engineering and design. This may also involve contributing to our docs or building sample apps. Requirements Extensive experience in the modern JavaScript ecosystem (Typescript, React, Node.js) Some experience with at least one other language (Python, Go, Java, etc.) Some experience with SQL databases Fluent English and excellent communication skills Startup experience or interest working in a small company Bonus: Contributed to an open-source project Bonus: Used feature flags or A/B testing at a previous company Bonus: Worked with data-heavy analytics applications Benefits 100% remote work from anywhere (within US time zones) Health, Vision, and Dental benefits (we cover 100% of the cost for employees and 95% for dependents) Generous tech stipend for your home office (or coworking space) Regular off-sites in exciting places (our latest one was in the Dominican Republic) GrowthBook is an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all employees. Senior Software Engineer
US / Remote (US)Full-time6+ years$175K - $225K0.10% - 0.30% equityVisa: US citizen/visa only
What the role involves

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer to join our small, but growing team. This role is fully remote, but we do prefer candidates in US timezones so everyone has some overlapping work hours. As an early employee, you will have immense impact on the product and business. Some of the problems you’ll be working on Scaling Event Ingestion. We ingest analytics events from customers (e.g. button clicks, purchases) and make them available for querying with SQL. We need to scale to millions of events per second while keeping latency low (<30s). Warehouse Native Product Analytics. We are building an analytics suite (a la Mixpanel or Amplitude) on top of a company’s existing SQL data warehouse. This will require extensive front-end work, data engineering, and performance tuning. Realtime Feature Flag Analytics. When a developer pushes code live, they want to know two things right away - “Did I just break anything?” and “Is anyone using my new feature?”. APM tools like DataDog only get you part of the way there and we want to build a truly comprehensive solution. Robust SQL Test Suite. We support 12 different SQL data sources, from Postgres to BigQuery to PrestoDB, and each of them have their own quirks and bugs that we need to work around. Supporting this at scale will require building robust automated test suites and provisioning complex cloud infrastructure on demand. Streaming Features Service. When someone toggles a feature flag in GrowthBook, we want it to propagate to all of their clients around the world within seconds. And we need to do this reliably (99.999% uptime) and at scale (billions of requests per day). Requirements Expert in Typescript, React, and Node.js Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases Experience building large web applications from scratch Fluent English and good communication skills Startup experience or interest working in a small company Bonus: Contributed to an open-source project Bonus: Used feature flags or A/B testing at a previous company Bonus: Built data-heavy analytics applications Benefits 100% remote work from anywhere (within US time zones) Health, Vision, and Dental benefits (we cover 100% of the cost for employees and 95% for dependents) Generous tech stipend for your home office (or coworking space) Regular off-sites in exciting places (our latest one was in the Dominican Republic) GrowthBook is an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment for all employees.
