VOYGR

Real-world place intelligence for AI apps and agents

What VOYGR does

VOYGR is a better maps API every agent and AI app will need. Google says '4.2 stars, open till 10 – VOYGR knows the chef left, wait times doubled, and locals moved on. Our intelligent local search combines accurate place data with fresh web context – news, articles, and events. We expand beyond 10-15 map attributes into infinite, queryable place profiles, enabling agents to reason and act in the real world. Maps are no longer browsed – LLMs/agents use them to reason and act. 20M+ apps/websites, up to 40% of search queries, and 20% of LLM prompts need local context. 10-15 attributes per place are not enough for AI. Places change constantly - restaurants close, hours change, businesses move. LLMs struggle with semantic queries “Specialty coffee shops in SF with Wi-Fi, popular with YC founders”. Agents cannot reliably “parse half the internet” - they need real-world ontology We’re experienced builders in maps, search, and ML to solve this. Vlad knows this space inside and out – he worked on the Google Maps APIs GTM, plus firsthand customer experience from building in ridesharing and travel. Yarik has spent over a decade leading ML/search teams at Apple, Google, and Meta. Google Places alone is a $XXB/Yr monopoly. Agents turn it into a transactional layer opportunity for local commerce and ads.

What the role involves

Why VOYGR VOYGR (YC W26) is building a real-world index every AI agent and App will need. Google says '4.2 stars, open till 10’ – VOYGR knows the chef left, wait times doubled, and locals moved on. This is 1T agentic queries per year that need every place verified and always fresh. Existing sources disagree with each other, go stale within months, and nobody maintains them fast enough.  Everyone loves maps. No one is building this at the infrastructure layer for AI. We do. We are backed by Y Combinator and top investors with a multi-year runway. We already have real revenue and enterprise contracts. The founders are tech industry veterans (ex-Google Search & Maps, Meta, McKinsey, Harvard). You'll work directly with them. The role You'll be the first dedicated sales hire and a founding member of our GTM team. You'll own top-of-funnel pipeline - identifying, reaching, and qualifying companies that need trustworthy location data. Our buyers span mapping platforms, marketplaces, fintech, travel, logistics, and AI agent builders.  You'll work directly with the founders to define the outbound playbook, refine ICP targeting, and co-build the sales process from scratch and convert qualified prospects into demo calls. This will be a perfect role for someone who wants to learn GTM automation. We’ve already built an automated pipeline with a human-in-the-loop workflow. Your goal will be to further automate and scale it in partnership with sales engineering. You’ll shadow the founders on those calls to build deep industry context and will have a clear growth path: SDR → AE within 6–12 months, with a longer-term trajectory toward sales leadership as we scale the team. What you'll do Research and build target account lists across our ICP segments — from Series A startups to public companies Run multi-channel outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, warm intros, conferences) to generate qualified meetings Qualify inbound leads and route them to founders for demos Craft personalized, technically credible messaging that resonates with product and engineering leaders Own GTM automation and  CRM hygiene, working together with sales engineering  Overtime - run initial discovery calls to understand prospect pain points and map stakeholders Collaborate with SMM to create social content to build VOYGR's brand and drive inbound awareness Collaborate with founders to iterate on messaging, sequences, and ICP definitions based on what's working Track and report on outreach metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution You 3+ years of SDR, BDR, or outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools Comfortable with cold calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn outreach - and energized by it Strong written and verbal communication; you can distill a technical API product into clear business value Working knowledge of HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay Builder mentality - you want to co-create the GTM process, not just follow one Organized and disciplined with CRM and pipeline management Coachable, competitive, and deeply motivated by both individual and team success Curious about technology - you'll need to understand how APIs, data pipelines, and location data work at a high level Nice to have: Experience selling APIs, data products, or developer tools · Familiarity with mapping/geospatial/location data · Experience at an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier) · GTM workflows automation experience. This role is probably not for you if You want a fully built playbook handed to you on day one You’re uncomfortable with direct, personal sales outreach. You prefer a predictable 9-to-5 pace over startup intensity You're not excited by a technical aspects of GTM automation What we offer Base: $60–85K + commission Equity Remote US Direct access to founders and sales eng - your ideas shape the GTM playbook Medical, dental, and vision insurance Clear path to AE within 6–12 months, and to sales leadership as the team grows

The founders are tech industry veterans (ex-Google Search & Maps, Meta, McKinsey, Harvard). You'll work directly with them. The role You'll work across our stack on a wide range of tasks – building APIs, data pipelines, ML integrations, product features, and infrastructure. The work changes week to week depending on what's most important. You'll get clear direction but also the space to figure out the best way to execute. You 5+ years building and shipping production systems (or fewer if your background is unconventional and the work speaks for itself) Comfortable across the full stack – backend, APIs, infra, frontend when needed Experience with some combination of: search/IR, data processing at scale, ML systems, API design AI-native – you use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools daily and know how to get the most out of them Strong written and spoken English AMER/EU/CIS time zones Nice to have: Geospatial/POI data · eval systems · agentic frameworks · LLM prompting Tech stack The core challenge: maintain a continuously-verified global index of every place on Earth as reality changes fast. That means multi-source ingestion at scale, entity resolution across conflicting signals, confidence and freshness scoring, and an API designed for AI agents. It's a data + ML + systems problem. Python, FastAPI · ML/AI: custom models, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) · PostgreSQL, PostGIS, DynamoDB · AWS (EKS, CloudWatch), Docker, Redis What we offer $4,000–$10,000/mo depending on location and experience Remote – work from anywhere with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern time For the right person: path to relocating to the US, converting to full-time with equity and visa sponsorship
