What Typewise does

Typewise is an AI-first customer service platform where orchestrated agents resolve requests end-to-end by taking real actions across your stack. Teams describe outcomes in natural language and the platform compiles them into working automations—no flowcharts, no code. You can safely simulate changes and roll them out step by step. Fortune 500 brands such as Unilever and DPD use Typewise to cut support effort by 50%+ while increasing CSAT and NPS. With 200+ integrations, Typewise reads from and writes to CRM, ERP, and other systems to fully resolve cases, handing off to humans only where they add the most value. Hybrid intelligence enables partial hand-offs, review-before-send, and context-preserving resumption—so teams stay in control. Operate natively within Typewise Ticketing, with optional integrations into your existing CRM or helpdesk systems such as Zendesk, Salesforce, or Freshdesk, and enhance agents with a CRM-embedded copilot. A company-specific AI language model keeps every interaction on-brand. EU-hosted and ISO 27001 certified, Typewise delivers measurable ROI in weeks—so you can start small and scale automation with confidence.

What the role involves

Customer service is being rebuilt from scratch, and we’re building the platform that wins it. Typewise (YC S22) is the AI Agent Platform behind 60+ enterprise customer service teams across Europe and the US. Brands like Unilever and DPD use us to resolve customer requests across email, chat, and social, autonomously, at a fraction of the cost and a multiple of the quality. We’re a 20-person remote-first team out of Zurich, moving fast, and we just raised the round to push harder. Here’s the challenge: when a CS leader sits down today and types “best AI customer service platform” into Google, they find Fin/Intercom. They find Zendesk. They don’t find us. Yet. That’s the job. Who you'll work with You’ll report directly to David (CEO, ex-Booz Allen strategy) and work alongside Janis (CTO, deep tech NLP). No marketing VP layer. No approval chains. Two founders who’ve built the company from a research project to 50+ enterprise customers and who now need someone to make the world find what they’ve built. You’ll have direct access to decisions, budget, and the full team. Role Overview As AI Growth Engineer, you own one outcome: make CS buyers find Typewise through any creative, non-paid, AI-powered means that work. No channel is off-limits. No approach is too unconventional. You pick the channels, build the systems, run the experiments, and iterate ruthlessly. This is a 3-month sprint to prove what works with the option to extend or convert to full-time. Your outcomes Make Typewise discoverable wherever CS buyers research solutions: Reddit, podcasts, YouTube, influencers, industry associations, communities, or channels nobody has thought of yet. Build AI-powered systems that let you operate at the scale of a full marketing team, alone. Run fast experiment loops (days, not weeks) and prove which channels deliver real sign-ups and pipeline. Leave behind a documented, automated Growth Playbook that keeps working after the sprint ends. In your first 30 days, you'll have shipped your first experiments and generated your first measurable signals. We don't care which channel. We care that something is live and learning. What you'll bring AI-native to the core: you don't just use AI — you think in AI. You've built agents, automations, or AI-powered systems that do things that weren't possible two years ago. You use AI to 10x yourself, not to save 10 minutes on an email. Builder mindset: you can ship systems autonomously — whether that's through code, AI-assisted development, no-code tools, or a combination. You don't need a team to go from idea to live experiment. Growth obsession: you've grown something before — a side project, a community, a product's user base — through creative, non-obvious means. Speed and bias to action: you ship experiments in days, not weeks. You're comfortable with imperfect launches and fast iteration. Ownership mindset: you treat this like your own startup. You don't wait for instructions; you identify opportunities and execute. Nice to have: experience with B2B SaaS, customer service/CX industry knowledge, podcast guesting or influencer outreach, community building. Why you'll love it here Category-defining platform at the forefront of AI for customer service. Full autonomy: you own the mission, the channels, and the experiments. We give you the budget and get out of the way. Unlimited AI budget for tools and APIs, we're serious about the AI-first approach. Hyper-collaborative, international team (20 people) with fast decision cycles and high trust. Remote-first with flexible hours (CET-friendly, office in Zurich). Quarterly team trips to cool locations for on-sites, customer visits, and shared adventures. Competitive compensation with performance bonus tied to measurable outcomes. Stock option potential if converting to full-time. The chance to define how Typewise grows, and prove that creative, AI-powered organic growth beats paid ads. Ready to move? Don't send us a CV. What the role involves

Typewise (YC S22) is the AI Agent Platform behind 60+ enterprise customer service teams across Europe and the US. Brands like Unilever and DPD use us to resolve customer requests across email, chat, and social, autonomously, at a fraction of the cost and a multiple of the quality. We’re a 20-person remote-first team out of Zurich and looking for a grounded, detail-oriented hybrid operator to fill an immediate 6-month coverage gap in manual testing and customer support, with the space to stay on long-term. This is not a theoretical strategy role or a pure automation-first programming position. The operational reality of our product moves fast: you will own daily manual regression testing, patch verifications, and customer issue reproduction. You will also be in direct contact with our customers via emails and calls, troubleshooting their issues and ensuring excellent communication throughout. However, we want someone with a strong automation mindset. You’ll inherit an existing Playwright/TypeScript test suite that requires regular maintenance, updates, and refactoring. Instead of just running manual checklists forever, you will actively maintain and build upon this framework to scale your own leverage, stabilize weekly builds, and continuously ease your own execution workload over time. This is a full-time, remote-first position (CET-friendly, with an office in Zürich). What You’ll Do Core Execution & Verification (60%): Own the weekly manual regression cycles and patch verifications where human judgment and precise product awareness matter most. Support & Issue Triage: Manage daily customer support communication directly via emails and calls. Take the noise out of incoming requests by turning vague user feedback into highly accurate, engineering-ready reproduction steps and clean bug reports. Maintain & Refactor Test Frameworks: Update, optimize, and maintain our existing Playwright and TypeScript testing repository. You’ll use this framework strategically to automate core product paths, systematically buying back your own time. Build AI-Assisted Workflows: Use Typewise’s own AI platform to design triage specialists and intake workflows, ensuring clear reproduction data is enforced before support tickets ever land in the queue. Your Profile Detail-Oriented Tester: Deep focus and willingness to execute manual test flows rigorously. You catch the edge cases others miss. Framework Maintenance Experience: Real-world experience maintaining, updating, or debugging existing Playwright and TypeScript test suites. You know how to step into an existing code environment, troubleshoot flaky paths, and update configuration parameters to make your daily work more efficient. Crisp Communicator: You bridge the gap between non-technical users and core engineering. Your communication—both in writing and on live calls—is clear, direct, and structured. Problem Solver: You don't just process tickets; you look at the recurring problems in your daily queue and think about how to optimize the pipeline. Nice to Have: Background with software testing environments, B2B SaaS platforms, or setting up conversational AI triage agents. Why You’ll Love It Here 🚀 Frontier Tech: Work directly with cutting-edge AI technology and influence how enterprise AI agents are deployed. ⚡ High Autonomy: Flat structures, fast decision-making cycles, and a team that trusts your execution. 🌍 Team Culture: Fully covered quarterly team meetups in great European locations. 🕐 Flexibility: Flexible working hours and a highly supportive remote-first setup. 💰 Perks: Competitive salary, potential for stock options, and an open AI tool budget. Ready to Move? Don’t just send a standard, generic CV. Show us how you operate. Send us a summary of your experience with technical customer support, along with a quick note on how you typically approach taking over and updating an existing Playwright framework to streamline your own manual workload.
