What the role involves
We’re looking for a Founder-in-Residence to design and launch entirely new product lines at TRM from scratch. In this role, you’ll work directly with the CEO to prototype, build, and iterate at extreme speed—writing product specs, designing UX/UI, and collaborating with senior engineers to ship multiple features per week. You’ll own the full product lifecycle, from idea to revenue, and be responsible for identifying real customer problems, creating elegant, usable solutions, and driving toward multi-million-dollar ARR targets within your first 12 months. This is a high-ownership, high-velocity role for someone with strong product taste, deep customer empathy, and exceptional design ability—ideally a former founder who thrives in 0→1 environments. The impact you will have: Work hand-in-hand with the CEO to design and ship brand new products from scratch Talk to users, identify needs, and translate them into intuitive UX and elegant UI Craft end-to-end specs and designs—no handoffs between PM and designer Work closely with a small team of senior engineers to bring ideas to life Design and prototype at extreme speed—TRM Speed = 5+ features scoped and designed per day Own the product roadmap, prioritization, and launch strategy for new products Help us reach $10M ARR on the new product line within 12 months What we’re looking for: You’ve founded or led a product at an early-stage startup You’ve built and shipped products that people love and use daily You have excellent design chops—you can go from raw idea to Figma prototype fast You’re fluent in product thinking and love sequencing roadmaps around real-world constraints You bring strong customer empathy and product taste You can work in the trenches—writing specs, designing flows, and pushing pixels You’ve got an intuitive grasp of engineering and can work side-by-side with senior devs You move at founder-speed, and thrive in 60–80 hour weeks when building something new Why TRM: Mission with urgency — You’ll help counter real-world threats from AI misuse Early-stage ownership — Total autonomy over your product track Resources to win — Backed by a team of elite engineers, operators, and AI researchers Direct access to leadership — You’ll report to the CEO and help define product strategy Massive scale potential — Take your product from 0→$10M+ in ARR with full support About the Team: The Product Management team is composed of experienced PMs who have shown a strong track record of success at early stage startups We don’t mind getting in the weeds and executing ourselves while we scale We are continuing to build out the team and add more A-players to push us in new directions, bringing creativity and grit We’re not a very hierarchical organization, so there’s still an expectation that everyone on the team can and will dive in wherever is needed Learn about TRM Speed in this position: Design and prototype 5+ features per day end-to-end Co-create a new product line in less than 6 months Iterate directly with CEO and senior engineers to ship early and often
