What the role involves
About the role Replo is hiring a Chief of Staff to help us scale smarter and move faster. You’ll work directly on high-priority initiatives across recruiting, GTM, operations, product, and whatever else needs to get done to help us win. This is a high-ownership, high-pace operator role. Some days you’ll be helping setting up our GTM automation infrastructure. Other days you’ll be sourcing engineering candidates, coordinating with legal. If you’re organized, data-minded, and energized by learning how a startup runs from the inside — this is for you. We’ll give you real responsibility and real feedback. You’ll ship a lot of work. You’ll learn how a startup really operates. You’ll make us better. What this role means for you... Automate all the things — we are aggressive users of n8n, virtual assistants, GPT (and all other AI tools) to automate all processes and things. Help with all things operational (e.g. onboarding new team members, bookkeeping, office logistics). Help run recruiting efforts — sourcing, automating, working with 3rd-party recruiters Build and manage lightweight financial models to help inform budgets. Partner with leadership on cross-functional projects to get them across the finish line. Take ambiguous problems and turn them into clear experiments, plans, and processes. Own internal ops — from improving team workflows to managing our office and vendors. Jump in wherever the company needs help — ordering snacks, coordinating legal documents, or getting a launch over the line. We've dominated the ecommerce space and are expanding to every client category. We are based 3-4 days per week out of our headquarters in San Francisco. Things you'll be working on Architecting and implementing backend systems in Typescript/Node is the core of what you’ll be doing. Real examples include — Designing and building an ingestion pipeline for our analytics/insights products (> 99.99% uptime on Kafka, Clickhouse, Redis) Spiking on our CI/CD to improve stability Build out durable/distributed cart/hosting for our ecommerce product Deploying a multi-tenant NextJS app for shops in Cloudflare Mentoring junior engineers on best-practices Looking for someone who Can be in office 3-4 days/week in San Francisco Has deep knowledge in distributed systems and SOA — load balancers, databases, queuing, caching, HTTP, APIs, high-availability, fault tolerance, redundancy, at-least-two-of-everything Down to do full-stack work (including frontend even if it's not your main role) Is ALWAYS SHIPPING. As a senior engineer at Replo, you will play a pivotal role in both shaping core product architecture and driving end-to-end feature development that directly impacts hundreds of thousands of users.
