Notable Labs is building a personalized drug discovery platform to identify treatment options for relapsed and refractory cancer patients — starting with blood cancer — to address the long tail of cancer treatment. We look at a person’s actual cancer cells, test combinations of FDA approved drugs, and see which combinations kill the cancer cells and leave the healthy cells alive. We focus on combinations because cancer is often difficult to target with just one drug and starting with a single drug can lead to resistant clones or relapse. What the role involves
Notable Labs is looking for a senior product development scientist to develop clinical applications of our ex vivo drug sensitivity testing platform. You’re a development scientist with experience and enthusiasm for translating novel technologies into clinical solutions, who wants to contribute to the goals and strategic direction of both the science team and the broader company. As a key member of the Product Development team at Notable, you will design and lead assay development and validation projects which translate technology developed by our Research & Development team into CLIA tests focused on hematologic malignancies. This role will entail roughly 60% planning and 40% hands-on lab-based responsibilities.

Notable Labs is looking for a product development scientist to develop the first clinical application of our ex vivo drug sensitivity testing platform. You’re a research biologist who’s excited about applying your laboratory skills towards a clinical diagnostic product. As a member of the Product Development team at Notable, you will execute assay development and validation projects which translate technology developed by our Research & Development team into CLIA tests focused on hematologic malignancies. The team will rely on your laboratory experience in executing product specification and validation studies.

The Opportunity Notable Labs seeks a full stack software engineer to build out the platform powering our robotic lab. As an early engineer on a small team, you will build backend APIs, craft web apps, and contribute to the engineering vision that drives our mission: all cancer is treatable. We're building a translational drug discovery platform to identify treatment options for relapsed and refractory cancer patients -- starting with Acute Myeloid Leukemia-- to address the long tail of cancer treatment. We have a highly automated lab in San Francisco running on our custom software (Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, JavaScript/React), and are currently testing relapsed/refractory cancer patients as well as samples from a variety of biopharma partnerships. What You'll Do Write clean, well crafted, modular, and maintainable code. Drive innovation by learning and teaching new frameworks and technologies. Build data-rich web applications for scientists and laboratory users to visualize scientific data, talk to robots, drive laboratory workflows, organize medical knowledge, and facilitate cancer treatment discovery. Write test code that matters, is lightweight, is easy to extend, and supports your quick development cycles.
