We sell software and we run a full-stack firmware design service — this role sells both. The Role You'll build the top of our pipeline — researching hardware companies, running outbound across channels, qualifying inbound, and putting qualified meetings on the calendars of our AEs and founders. You'll also shape the playbook itself: messaging, sequences, ICP refinement, and the systems every BDR who follows you will inherit. What You'll Do Research and identify hardware companies that fit our ICP across automotive, aerospace, medical, IoT, and consumer electronics. Run outbound across cold calls, email, and LinkedIn to engineering leaders and firmware teams at target accounts. Qualify inbound leads and book qualified meetings and demos for our AEs and founders. Hit and exceed monthly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generated. Own clean, accurate activity and pipeline data in the CRM — this becomes the foundation of the sales org. Partner with sales, marketing, and the founders to sharpen messaging and outreach strategy against real reply data. Learn the product, the market, and the competitive landscape deep enough to hold a credible technical conversation with a firmware engineer. Help shape sales culture, hiring bar, and the BDR-to-AE promotion path as one of our founding GTM hires. Who You Are 0–2 years in sales, customer-facing, or other outreach-heavy roles — or a strong, demonstrated drive to start a sales career. Excellent written and verbal communicator. You can write a cold email a senior engineer will actually read. Self-motivated, resilient, and genuinely comfortable with rejection — you treat "no" as data. Organized and detail-oriented. You leave the CRM cleaner than you found it. Coachable and hungry to learn. You ask for feedback before it's offered. You want to be in the office five days a week in San Francisco. We sell software and we run a full-stack firmware design service — this role does both. The Role You will be the hardware conscience of the company. You'll architect and own entire firmware projects for customers, push the product where it bends, and help build the parts of the platform only an experienced firmware engineer can design well — HIL/SIL test harnesses, debugger and test equipment integrations, and specialized workflows for the entire firmware lifecycle.  What You'll Do Architect and deliver firmware projects for customers at speed using our AI systems. Work alongside our software and product engineers to build the industry standard framework for how AI interacts with hardware, debugging servers, test equipment and test benches.  Help shape engineering culture, hiring bar, and technical roadmap as one of our founding engineers. Who You Are 3–5 years of professional firmware or embedded software experience after college (open to less if your work is exceptional). Proficiency in C programming in embedded, RTOS systems. Familiarity with MISRA C a plus. You've shipped real products, not just dev-board demos — drivers, RTOS, power management, comms stacks (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE, CAN, etc.). Capable of reading and interpreting PCBA schematics for developing and troubleshooting firmware. You use modern AI coding tools daily and have built your own automations on top of them. You want to be in the office five days a week in San Francisco. You are willing to work some weekends. Bonus Points Experience at a complex hardware-software org: semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, defense, medical device, IoT, robotics, or wireless. You've written your own MCP servers, skills, code-gen scripts, debugging tools, or AI-assisted internal tools to automate parts of your firmware workflow. The Role You will design and build our core AI application — the planner, verifier, debugger, and model orchestration layer that turns datasheets, schematics, and live hardware signals into working firmware. You'll work directly with hardware companies (ranging from startups to F500s), and dogfood the product on real customer projects. What You'll Do Shape what the next generation of embedded systems tooling will look like and how firmware is written.  Work alongside our firmware and product engineers to build the industry standard framework for how AI interacts with hardware, debugging servers, test equipment and test benches.  Build and own evaluation infrastructure for agentic systems.  Design user interfaces to simply complex hardware and OS traces and visualize test equipment data.  Use the product on real customer engagements and feed everything back into the system. Help define engineering culture, hiring bar, and technical roadmap as one of our first engineers. Who You Are Evidence of building complex systems from scratch, regardless of years in industry. You've built non-trivial AI agent systems — multi-step tool-using agents, coding agents, or eval harnesses. Bonus if any is open source or in production. Fluent with modern AI coding tools daily and you've built your own automations on top of them. You write clean, fast Python and/or TypeScript and operate well in the absence of a spec.
