DeepSource is transforming how engineering teams ship secure, high-quality code. Our AI-powered DevSecOps platform helps companies identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, code quality issues, and open-source risks before they reach production, utilizing static analysis, Autofix™ AI, and Autonomous AI Agents. The Opportunity We have several hundred paying customers, including large enterprises such as Visa, Ancestry, WEX, among others. In the last 3 months, we've launched DeepSource SCA and DeepSource Agents, where we're thinking about code security in the age of AI from first principles. We've received incredible customer feedback on these new products, and we're now ready to scale our sales motion to capitalize on this momentum. The Role You'll be an Associate Account Executive, working directly with our CEO to build and execute our outbound sales strategy. This is a full-cycle sales role where you'll own the entire process from prospecting to closing deals with software companies across the US, with a sharp focus on the Bay Area. What you'll do: Prospect and qualify software companies (100 - 2000+ employees) who need better code security and quality tools, especially those who're increasingly adopting AI-assisted software development tools Run discovery calls to understand technical pain points and map our solutions to their needs Demo our platform to engineering leaders, security teams, and CTOs Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders in technical organizations Close deals ranging from $15K to $75K+ ACV Partner with our CEO to refine our sales process and go-to-market strategy Build relationships with champions in the developer and security communities What we're looking for Experience: 1-3 years in B2B SaaS sales, ideally selling to technical buyers or in the developer tools/security space. We're open to early-career semi-technical folks who are looking to break into sales and GTM for developer tools Must-haves: Ability to have technical conversations with developers and engineering leaders Hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong track record of hitting/exceeding quota in a previous sales role (unless you're early-career) Experience with outbound prospecting and full-cycle sales (unless you're early-career) Nice-to-haves: Previous experience at developer tools, security, or infrastructure companies Technical background or genuine curiosity about software development Familiarity with static analysis, security scanning, or DevSecOps tools Experience selling to engineering teams or technical decision makers What we offer Competitive compensation: $80K-$100K base + commission (OTE $140K-$180K) Meaningful equity: 0.1%-0.3% in a fast-growing company Direct mentorship: Work closely with our CEO to learn the business inside-out Growth opportunity: Help build our sales organization Impact: Help shape how thousands of engineering teams ship secure software Location: San Francisco (preferred), or remote in the Bay Area.
