We're solving one of the hardest problems in healthcare IT – making automation reliable on top of legacy systems that were never designed for AI agents. The Role This is our first dedicated business hire. You'll work directly with the CEO across every non-engineering function: sales, hiring, customer support, marketing, events, and whatever else needs to get done to scale from where we are to 10x. There is no playbook. You'll be building processes from scratch, context-switching constantly, and owning outcomes end-to-end. What You'll Do Outbound Sales & Pipeline: Research prospects, run outreach sequences, book discovery calls, and support the CEO through deal cycles with healthcare AI companies and enterprise RCM firms. Hiring & Recruiting: Source candidates, manage pipelines, coordinate interviews, and help close hires as we grow the team. Events & Community: Plan and execute networking events, dinners, and meetups in the SF healthcare AI ecosystem. Represent CloudCruise at conferences and industry gatherings. Marketing & Content: Help shape our positioning, draft outbound messaging, manage social presence, and produce content that resonates with healthcare operators and buyers. Customer Support & Success: Be the first line of response for customer issues. Triage, escalate to engineering when needed, and make sure customers feel taken care of. Operations & Everything Else: Vendor management, internal tooling, process documentation – whatever the business needs to keep moving. About You Relentlessly resourceful. You don't wait for permission or instructions. You see what needs to happen and you go do it. High output, high quality. You move fast without cutting corners. Details matter to you – a sloppy email or missed follow-up bothers you. Socially sharp. You read rooms well, build rapport quickly, and can hold your own in conversations with C-suite execs, investors, and engineers alike. Hungry. You want to be at a company where your work directly moves the needle. You're motivated by impact, not titles. Adaptable. You can go from writing a sales email to triaging a customer issue to prepping a hiring scorecard in the same afternoon – and enjoy it. 1-4 years of experience in a high-performance environment – startups, consulting, banking, or similar. What matters more is what you've done with your time than how many years you've logged. Based in SF or willing to relocate. We work in-person. Nice to Have Technical background or comfort with developer tools – our product is infrastructure for engineers, and being able to speak their language matters Experience in healthcare, health tech, or selling to healthcare buyers Familiarity with outbound sales tools (Apollo, Clay, etc.) Prior startup experience, especially at seed or Series A stage Exposure to revenue cycle management or healthcare operations Why CloudCruise Real traction, real problem. High agency, ground-up builders who thrive with significant ownership from day one. The Role You'll own the intelligence layer that makes our agents actually work. We run a multi-agent system in production – a workflow builder agent for conversational automation creation and a maintenance agent for error recovery. Both rely on vision-language models to understand what's on screen. Your job is to make all of them more reliable, faster, and cheaper. What You'll Work On Design and improve our two-agent system (workflow builder, maintenance) that creates and repairs automations through tool-calling with 15+ browser automation primitives Fine-tune VLMs to improve accuracy and reduce reliance on API calls Build evaluation frameworks that measure agent reliability and catch regressions before customers do Develop techniques for handling edge cases, recovering from failures, and generalizing across UI variations Research and implement approaches to make agents more predictable and debuggable You Might Be a Fit If You've trained or fine-tuned models that run in production You're opinionated about agent design – when to use LLMs, when not to, how to structure tool use You believe evals are the path to reliability and have built systems to prove it You're comfortable reading papers and implementing ideas from scratch You've worked on problems where labeled data is scarce and you had to get creative Compensation Competitive salary and meaningful equity. This means orchestrating ephemeral worker fleets across AWS, building real-time coordination layers over Redis and WebSockets, and designing fault-tolerant systems that recover gracefully when things go wrong. Reliability is everything. When a customer's automation fails, claims don't get submitted and patients don't get care. Your job is to make sure that doesn't happen. What You'll Work On Dynamic EC2 provisioning with auto-scaling, multi-OS support (Linux/Windows), health monitoring, crash recovery, and priority-based dispatch across resource groups Socket.io with Redis adapter for horizontally scalable WebSockets, custom distributed job queues with leader election and credential locking, pub/sub messaging for cross-instance communication Evolve our single-leader dispatcher toward sharded or multi-leader architectures, implement dynamic worker provisioning based on queue depth, optimize connection pooling and caching layers Deploy and optimize inference for vision-language models powering our agents – low latency, high throughput, cost-efficient GPU utilization Expand our OpenTelemetry and Langfuse tracing into full metrics dashboards, alerting, and SLO tracking Lambda functions for event processing, EC2/SSM for remote execution, S3 for artifact storage, IAM and security hardening You Might Be a Fit If You've built distributed systems that handle real scale – worker orchestration, job queues, leader election You're fluent in Redis as more than a cache: pub/sub, distributed locks, state management You've operated production AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, SSM) and understand the cost/reliability tradeoffs You care about observability – you've built dashboards, set up alerting, and debugged production issues with traces You're the person who sees "custom job queue" and immediately thinks about failure modes Compensation Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
