Role Summary: We’re looking for a high-impact, full-cycle Account Executive who thrives in a tech-driven sales environment. This role isn’t just about hitting quota—it’s about shaping the future of how sales teams operate in an AI-powered world. As the first AE at Cargo, you'll have a high degree of ownership, working on a automated, AI-powered pipeline while refining our sales motion for scale. You’ll generate pipeline, close deals, optimize the sales process, and help define the foundation of our future sales team. The ideal candidate is a proven closer with a founder mentality—someone who thinks strategically, adapts quickly, and is always pushing to improve. Key Responsibilities Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing. Work alongside GTM Engineers to refine our outbound playbook, engage top-tier prospects, and shape the future of tech-enabled sales. ✅ Engage, qualify, and close ICP leads—pre-scored, enriched, and routed directly to you. 🧠 Deeply understand buyer pain points – and map Cargo’s value to their specific needs. 💬 Lead high-impact conversations – position yourself as a trusted GTM advisor, not just another vendor. 📖 Refine and structure the sales playbook — build a repeatable, scalable sales motion by optimizing messaging, deal progression, and outreach strategies, through close collaboration with GTM Engineers. 📊 Optimize pipeline efficiency – Identify friction points in the sales cycle, surface insights on why deals stall, and work along with us to improve lead targeting, scoring, and conversion strategies.
