ℹ️ About the Position Biodock runs AI bioanalysis in the cloud, allowing scientists to accelerate R&D on the most promising new therapeutics. We are looking for talented full-stack web engineers to join our team and drive results for our customers and vision. You'd build critical features from the ground up, and deliver fast without bureaucracy. We're looking for someone who is serious about building, and who can wear many hats. Our stack Web (this role): React, Apollo GraphQL, Typescript, Mongo, Node. We also use: Docker, Terraform, Redis, AWS, Serverless. On our backend, closer to the Machine learning pipeline, we use Python, PyTorch and Numpy. Experience on these also highly desired. 🔨 What you'll do Take full ownership of our Biodock's full-stack web platform, all the way to deploys, infra, monitoring, debugging, and overall reliability. Work on our modern web stack to build dynamic analysis methods in the cloud. Work together with backend engineers to coordinate AI and image processing pipelines to work with our web application. Be exposed to every level of the company, working closely with the other team members including executive team to meet business goals and working off customer feedback. 🙋 Who you are You’re a full-stack engineer with 4+ years of industry experience in a React/Typescript based stack with GraphQL/Apollo. People describe you as "extremely productive." Big bonus points for a great eye for design, Frontend - Great eye for design. Experience and enjoy using React Canvas, WebGL, Web Worker Threads. Experience in these highly desired. Backend - Data modeling, especially in NoSQL/MongoDB. You have experience in areas such as algorithms, databases, UX implementation, debugging, and full-stack performance measurement and optimization. ℹ️ About the Position Biodock empowers BioR&D labs to design and implement custom AI models for precision image analysis at scale. We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning & Python Backend Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services supporting our platform’s AI and image processing features. You’ll work closely with computer vision models and manage data flow through ML models in an efficient and scalable way. Our stack Backend + AI (this role): Typed scientific Python (Numpy), Pytorch Web: React, Apollo GraphQL, Typescript, Mongo, Node We use: Docker, Terraform, Redis, AWS, Serverless 🔨 What you'll do Develop and maintain backend services and batch jobs that support image processing and AI features Work with image data in Numpy arrays and manage data flow to/from machine learning models Build scalable Python services that support model inference and data transformations Collaborate with the infrastructure team to optimize deployment pipelines for ML models Be exposed to every level of the company, working closely with the CEO to meet business goals and working off customer feedback. 🙋 Who you are 3+ years combination of backend development and machine learning experience Proficiency in Python 3 and experience with Numpy Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) Experience working with image data Experience working with tabular data (e.g., CSV, SQL) You want to work at a top VC-backed company at the earliest stage to help build things from the ground up. Lead users to better AI training outcomes by suggesting labeling best practices, and approving and rejecting pipelines Secondary responsibilities Build use case examples and expand our documentation to support our users Answer customer questions 🙋 Who you are You need to have a bio background. Microscopy experiences and working with microscopy images are preferred. You're a great writer and interested in ML / AI You are an independent worker and take ownership of your job responsibilities. You're flexible, trustworthy, energetic, and a great communicator Bonus points but not required Graduate school experience in biology/laboratories
