Aravolta
Software to monitor, control, and optimize data centers.
What Aravolta does
Aravolta provides a single pane of glass software for data centers to increase uptime, reduce costs, and improve performance. A single utility node onboards every asset within an hour and detects hardware failures, hotspots, and other issues. It also generates reports on important metrics like Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), energy metering, resource utilization, and much more.

What You’ll Do: Design and maintain scalable PostgreSQL database schemas and policies Optimize app performance across frontend and backend Build robust Next.js APIs with OpenAPI for advanced customer integrations Collaborate on utility-side tooling (Node.js, InfluxDB, Telegraf) as needed Our Stack: The utility agent: Node.js InfluxDB Telegraf PostgreSQL (Supabase) SNMP / IPMI / RedFish / ModBus The web app: TypeScript React / Next.js PostgreSQL (Supabase) Vercel TailwindCSS
What the role involves
About Aravolta Aravolta is the operating system for modern data centers. We build software that monitors, controls, and optimizes critical infrastructure - replacing fragmented legacy tools with a single platform that deploys in days, not months. Backed by YC and many more, we work with data center operators running some of the most demanding workloads in the world and complex critical environments. About the Role We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our customers - on-site and embedded - to deploy Aravolta in complex data center environments. You'll be the technical bridge between our product and our customers' operational reality, solving integration challenges, customizing workflows, and making sure the Aravolta experience is the best in the data center industry. This isn't a support role. You'll write production code, debug live systems, and shape our product roadmap. If you thrive on solving hard problems in high-stakes environments and want to see your work powering critical infrastructure, this role is for you. What You'll Do Deploy and configure Aravolta at customer sites, working hands-on with their infrastructure and operations teams Build custom integrations, data pipelines, and automation workflows tailored to each customer's environment Troubleshoot complex issues across networking, device communication, and telemetry collection Translate customer requirements into actionable feature requests and contribute directly to our core product Develop internal tooling, scripts, and documentation to accelerate future deployments What We're Looking For Preferred: 3+ years of software engineering experience High agency, high ownership Strong debugging and problem-solving skills - you're comfortable diving into unfamiliar systems Experience working directly with customers or in client-facing technical roles Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls) Ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Willingness to travel to customer sites (up to 30–50%)
What the role involves
Aravolta is building software for data centers to monitor, control, and optimize building, electrical, and server assets (like GPUs). We're a small team backed by Y Combinator and top-tier investors, and we are already being used across data centers in the US. As a Engineering Intern, you’ll dive straight into customer facing products and deep into the weeds of data center operations. It may include travel out to our customers, dealing with physical infrastructure, and understanding the hardware backbone of AI training. You’ll work hands-on with our founding team, solve challenging problems, and make a tangible impact while learning in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. We value engineers with good design taste and the ability to solve customer problems.
