RentHop (www.renthop.com) helps renters find great apartments. We use sophisticated data analysis to rank apartment listings based on their "freshness", their accuracy and completeness and the responsiveness of the manager who listed the apartment on our site. As a renter, you can use list-based or map-based search tools to browse listings and comprehensive search filters to narrow our 100,000+ listings to just the ones you want. It’s easy and fast to reach out to brokers and property managers to schedule viewings and to manage responses. You can also use our innovative "Appointments on Demand" feature, a map showing the real-time locations of brokers and property managers available to show apartments, to reach out and schedule viewings on the fly! For brokers and property managers, RentHop provides a cost-effective, easy-to-use tool to promote your listings, get qualified leads and schedule viewings. You can also post and repost listings on the go using RentHop Manager, our mobile app for brokers and property managers, currently available in the iOS App Store. What the role involves
For the first time ever, we are launching an engineering office in Taipei! RentHop and RealtyHop are two very rapidly growing real estate platforms in the US. We serve over 1 million unique visitors each month looking to buy, rent, sell, or lease their residential properties. Our paying customers include the full spectrum of real estate entities, from very large management firms down to individual small landlords with 1 unit. As a data engineer, you will work to integrate our platform with dozens of API and 3rd party data feeds. You will work with our front-end engineering team and our content marketing team to explore new product and research possibilities. The database architecture, server framework, content hosting, and 3rd party data integrations are all challenging components that must work together seamlessly. Transferring to the New York office is also possible in future years, but for the majority of 2021, must be full-time in Taipei. Work hours will be local time in Taiwan.
What the role involves
Join our engineering office in Taipei! Our Taiwan team handles full-stack php web development, data feed processing, API integrations, and machine learning using PyTorch for image classification. We are looking for 2 engineers to join one or more of these projects. RentHop and RealtyHop are two profitable and rapidly growing real estate platforms in the US. We serve over 1 million unique visitors each month looking to buy, rent, sell, or lease their residential properties. Our paying customers include the full spectrum of real estate entities, from very large management firms down to individual small landlords with 1 unit. As a full-stack engineer, you will work with our product, design, and support teams to manage all aspects of the product. The database architecture, server framework, security, payment processing, content hosting, and 3rd party data integrations are all challenging components that must work together seamlessly into a friendly user experience. You will be working directly with the CEO, CTO, and Director of product as we expand the userbase to the next level. Transferring to the New York office is also possible in future years, but for the majority of 2022, must be full-time in Taipei.
What the role involves
For the first time ever, we are launching an engineering office in Taipei! We have many years of rental and sales data combining housing inventory listings, purchase and sale transactions, HOA and co-op assessments, property tax histories, and liens recorded. We need a statistical data analyst who can lead a series of high impact projects leveraging the vast amount of information we’ve collected. Immediate projects include data studies based on U.S. census data, city government open data, and RealtyHop's proprietary databases. We will also experiment with our mortgage and property tax data to further assist investors with their investment decisions. The candidate is expected to conduct property valuations and present the results based on key metrics, including cap rates, IRR, and equity multiple. We intend to use any findings to revamp our growth and pricing strategies, and our HopScore pricing algorithm. Requirements Include: Bachelors Degree or higher in computer science Working knowledge of some or all: Excel, HTML, PHP, SQL Fluent in English - comfortable discussing technical terms entirely in English Experience in real estate or real estate finance a plus Transferring to the New York office is also possible in future years, but for the majority of 2021, must be full-time in Taipei.
