
What Paytm does
Founded in 2009, Paytm is a full-stack fintech platform. The company started with its wallet services and then evolved with its additional offerings such as UPI transactions, payments app, travel booking, digital brokerage and payments bank. It also had B2B services for payments through PoS/MPoS and soundbox. The fintech company has partnered with Perplexity to offer users real-time AI-driven financial assistance and received SEBI - Research Analyst certification, allowing them to provide investment advice and research reports. Paytm went public in November 2021, raising Rs 18,300 Cr at the issue price of Rs 2150 per share. With a revenue of Rs 10524.7 Cr in FY24, Paytm competes with companies including PhonePe and Mobikwik.
