Founded in 2000, BillDesk is a digital payments company that offers online billing and payment SaaS. The unicorn began by enabling recurring payments for utility services and later expanded into merchant services and payment management solutions. In 2021, the company was acquired by PayU in a deal aimed at scaling its global payment offerings. BillDesk is now focused on enhancing its tech infrastructure to support seamless cross-border transactions. With a revenue of Rs 2,765.45 Cr in FY23, BillDesk competes with companies including PayMate, ChargeBee and Infibeam.
