What the role involves
Weave is making Isaac, a general-purpose, personal robot that’s built for the home and will change how we live. We’re looking for high-performing people to join us and do exceptional work. Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building Isaac’s autonomy pipeline. Core responsibilities will include designing our model architectures, training and iterating on robotic policies, and working with software engineers to build out our online inference and training stack. Requirements The ideal candidate has deep experience in vision language models, reinforcement learning and robotics. Strong research fundamentals are a must. Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks is essential.

Our robot, Isaac , will autonomously fold laundry, tidy up messes, and care for your home while you're away. ! Responsibilities CNC machining – set up, run, and maintain 3-/5-axis mills and lathes; choose tooling, workholding and work setups CNC maintenance- Perform regular CNC machine maintenance and inspection 3-D printing – operate FDM/SLA printers, post-process parts, and validate fit & finish Robot build & rework – assemble electromechanical subsystems, integrate wiring, and bring full robots to life Troubleshooting & repair – diagnose mechanical failures, swap components, and document fixes Rapid iteration – work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, giving real-time feedback on DFM and tolerances Shop stewardship – keep our prototype lab organized, safe, and stocked with consumables Requirements Hands-on experience running CNC equipment or industrial 3-D printers (2+ years preferred) CAM/CAD fluency (Fusion 360, SolidWorks) Ability to read mechanical drawings, GD&T, and basic wiring diagrams Pro at hand tools, fasteners, soldering, and safe shop practices Maker mindset: you iterate quickly, keep clear notes, balance process with agility in a fast-moving environment, and own quality from first chip to final assembly Eligible to work in the U.S. and available to work on-site in San Francisco Bonus skills Ability to manufacture high complexity parts and maintain tight tolerances for mating components Experience in inspecting precision-machined parts using manual tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges) and automated systems, ensuring conformance to tight tolerances and GD&T requirements Hands-on experience fabricating composite structures combining materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aluminum; including layup, bonding, mechanical fastening, and post-processing. Experience with building and working with/around robots Basic PCB re-work, crimping, or harness fabrication OSHA 10 or other safety certifications
What the role involves
Overview Weave is deploying general-purpose robots in homes and businesses. In under a year, we’ve gone from first design concept to paid deployments for our customers and are looking to grow our team. We are looking for a Robotics Systems Engineer whose primary focus is building safe and performant planning and control systems tightly coupled with our autonomy and networking stack. This role sits at the boundary between controllers, autonomy, perception, operating systems, and networks: you will be responsible for the safe, dexterous, low-latency, and reliable operation of our robots. You will also work closely with our electrical, mechanical and deployment teams to ensure the observability of our systems for quick diagnostics and rapid iteration as we deploy our robots for real-world customers. Responsibilities Architect and implement near real-time motion planning, controls and networking systems Optimize planning, control and networking stacks for high-frequency data streams Tune drivers, kernels, and middleware to achieve real-time performance Build tooling and telemetry for end-to-end latency measurement, debugging, and fault detection Requirements Experience with ROS and embedded systems, especially in real-time or near real-time environments Low-level or kernel-level networking experience, including performance tuning and debugging Mechatronics engineering experience is a plus
