NOSO LABS

Build AI agents for field technicians to diagnose and sell 10x better

Hiring — 1 openYC-S25Early

What NOSO LABS does

In the home services industry, field technicians are expected to handle three key tasks: diagnosing issues, making sales, and completing paperwork. It's rare to find individuals who excel at all three. We build AI agents to support technicians by improving diagnostic accuracy and helping them capture sales opportunities.

What the role involves

We work 6 days a week and we ping each other every night, if you are applying please make sure you are okay with the culture. As Founding Software Engineer, you will be our first full-time engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our product and technology stack from the ground up. You will work closely with the founding team to design and build features end-to-end, bringing new AI-driven capabilities to market. This is not a standard internship or part-time role – you'll be a core member of the team, writing production-quality code and making high-impact decisions from day one. We move at startup speed: you'll prototype, iterate, and deploy features rapidly, learn on the fly, and help define our engineering culture and architecture. Key Responsibilities Build full-stack features: Develop and ship core product functionality using our React Native mobile frontend and Python backend. Take features from idea to production, including UI, business logic, and cloud services. AI/ML integration: Collaborate on designing and integrating large language models (LLMs) and other AI models into our applications. Work on data collection, preprocessing, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment to improve diagnostics and automation. Data engineering: Handle enterprise customer data and APIs. Build data pipelines and tooling to clean, store, and analyze large datasets for model training and inference. Quality & optimization: Test and validate model performance, optimize code for efficiency, and ensure reliability at scale. Iterate based on feedback from real technician use-cases to continuously improve the product. End-to-end development: Take ownership of features across the stack – from designing robust backend services and database schemas to crafting intuitive mobile UI and experiences. Collaboration: Work closely with product, AI, and design teams to translate customer needs (e.g., faster HVAC diagnostics) into technical solutions. Communicate clearly and document your work to help the whole team stay in sync.
