at DeepAware AI — Robots, parts & RL environments - delivered in 72 hrs or pickup in SF.
What the role involves
About the Role
DeepAware AI (YC S25) is building secure, efficient, and autonomous infrastructure for the AI era. As a Robotics Engineer, you’ll develop and integrate autonomous systems that enable 24/7 inspections, cable swaps, and maintenance in large-scale data centers. Your work will bridge the gap between physical robotics and our AI-powered Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platform — creating the “robotic hands” for next-gen AI infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design robotic manipulation and navigation systems optimized for constrained, high-density environments
Integrate vision systems for automated inspections and anomaly detection
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to connect robotics control with real-time DCIM data pipelines
Prototype, test, and refine robotic hardware/software at pilot deployment sites
Ensure reliability, safety, and scalability of robotics solutions for continuous operations
Requirements
Proficiency with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, and OpenCV
Hands-on experience in autonomous navigation and robotic manipulation
Ability to work across hardware and software components, including embedded systems and control algorithms
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to iterate quickly in a startup environment
Nice-to-Have
Experience with industrial robotics or data center operations
Knowledge of computer vision model training and deployment
Familiarity with robotic arm kinematics, path planning, and sensor fusion
Location
Bay Area, CA preferred
Why DeepAware?
You’ll be at the forefront of integrating robotics into AI infrastructure — working on mission-critical systems that keep the world’s AI running securely and sustainably. Your contributions will directly shape how data centers operate in the coming decade.
About DeepAware AI
DeepAware (Silicon Valley Robotics Center roboticscenter.ai) is the fastest way for enterprises and researchers to get robots and robotics parts in the US — 72-hour delivery or Bay Area pickup. Beyond hardware, we help teams collect teleoperation data, build reinforcement learning environments, and deploy robots into production. Customers include AI labs, industrial operations, research teams, and event producers.
