
Maritime Logistics Specialist
at Splash Inc. — Autonomous patrol-boats for National Security
What the role involves
Vessel Operations & Maintenance
Safely pilot single-outboard boats (up to 30 ft) for deployments, test missions, and routine transport
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical and electrical issues
Oversee fueling, docking, anchoring, and vessel cleaning
Logistics & Coordination
Plan and execute transportation of equipment, including hauling trailers, towing vessels, and arranging freight/shipping
Coordinate with marinas, customs, freight carriers, and service vendors
Track inventory of spare parts, safety gear, and operational supplies
Safety & Compliance
Maintain vessel and personnel logs; conduct safety drills and enforce all USCG regulations
Ensure all certificates, licenses, and insurance policies are current and filed appropriately
Cross-Functional Support
Assist engineering teams with deploying and recovering maritime robotics prototypes
Provide on-site logistical support during field tests and demonstrations
Serve as the primary point of contact for outside contractors and port authorities
