What Thar to Sahara does
Founded in 2021, Thar to Sahara operates in Travel Tech offering a unique journey of 21,000 km to raise funds and awareness for NGOs focused on empowering women and girls in India and Morocco. The project includes visiting 52 UNESCO World Heritage destinations and traversing three deserts, with the aim of supporting Apne Aap Women Worldwide and The Anou. The journey is inspired by Paul Bowles' novel 'The Sheltering Sky,' and features his original travel-worn luggage as part of its artwork. Through a combination of travel and social impact, the team seeks sponsorship to continue their outreach efforts and document their experiences via social media. This initiative highlights a commitment to social causes while promoting cultural heritage and dialogue.
