What the role involves

Senior Software Engineer - Paasa

Paasa is building the first-of-its-kind global equities trading platform from India, for Indians across the globe. We’re backed by YC and top Silicon Valley angels.

Our founders previously led engineering at SoFi and INDmoney, and saw how broken global investing was for Indians - from opaque FX spreads to fragmented tax, remittance, and trading infrastructure. We’re building the system to fix that.

What you’ll build

You’ll own core product and infra end-to-end across:

Trading systems and order flows

Real-time market data and order-book visualizations

Portfolio, reporting, and tax tools

Ledger, reconciliation, and money movement systems

Scalable APIs across brokerage, banking, and clearing partners

First 90 days

In your first month, you’ll own a live integration with our US clearing partner and ship production features like real-time order-book visualization.

By 90 days, you should be owning critical parts of our trading engine, helping us scale toward $10M+ in daily transaction volume with low-latency, reliable infrastructure.

Stack

TypeScript, React Native, Node.js, Postgres, cloud infra.

You

3-6 years of engineering experience

Strong product sense and ability to ship fast

About Paasa

Paasa helps wealthy Indians invest in global equities - without middlemen, hidden fees, or paperwork. While high-net-worths in India often have international expenses from children's education to healthcare, most still save in INR, a currency that depreciates ~2–5% per year against the USD. Why? - Broken outward remittance process - Fear of making mistakes in tax or compliance - Paper-heavy onboarding processes of international brokers - Lack of trustworthy guidance Paasa offers a mobile app that enables Indians to trade worldwide, invest via advisory, and automate every cross-border tax filing.
