Software Engineer II — Onshore

Onshore builds AI-native tax software. We automate the work that used to take CPAs weeks — R&D credits, 179D, cost seg, and more — using agents that do the analysis and humans who review it.

We're hiring a Software Engineer II to build product end-to-end across our stack.

What you'll do

Ship full-stack features across our Vite + React frontend (shadcn, Tailwind) and SST backend (Bun, Lambda, AWS).

Build AI-powered data pipelines that ingest, extract, and transform client data at scale.

Own products from spec to production — design, build, deploy, iterate.

Work directly with founders, tax experts, and customers.

You should have

2+ years building production software, ideally full-stack.

Strong TypeScript and React. Comfort in a serverless AWS environment is a plus.

About Onshore

Onshore uses AI to prepare corporate R&D tax credits. With our technology, anyone can prepare an R&D Tax Credit accurately and fast. To provide some background, the R&D Credit is often cited as the most complex and audited tax credit in the United States. With that in mind, we set out to create software to achieve two primary objectives: 1. Ensure that any credit computed with our software is exactly what the IRS is asking for in terms of quality. 2. Democratize the ability to perform high quality R&D Credit studies extremely fast.
