What Haldia Energy does
Founded in 2014, Haldia Energy operates in Clean Tech offering a fully integrated power utility solution through its 2 X 300 MW coal-based thermal power plant located in Haldia, West Bengal, India. The plant was established to address the power demand and supply gap within the CESC system, ensuring a reliable power supply to Kolkata and its suburbs. Power generated is transmitted via a dedicated 400 KV twin circuit transmission line to the PGCIL substation at Subhasgram. The company's facilities became operational in early 2015 and contribute to making the region more self-sufficient in energy.
Who runs it
Funding and finances
Why this matters to you: funding stage is a rough proxy for how long the runway is and how much structure to expect. It is not a promise, and a profitable bootstrapped company can be the safer bet.
