As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction of the company, including product development, tech innovation, and team leadership. You’ll partner closely with the CEO and other executives to align the company’s technology with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and implement a cohesive technology strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage the technology team to ensure the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive.
Technology Operations
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all technological infrastructure and systems.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of the company’s technology platforms and systems.
- Manage technology budgets and resources effectively to maximize return on investment.
Innovation and Development
- Drive innovation within the organization, identifying opportunities for technological advancements and improvements.
- Lead the research and development (R&D) efforts to create new products and services.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technology team.
Act as Tech Advisor
- Collaborate with other executives to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Communicate the company’s technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, and stakeholders.
- Serve as a technical advisor to other departments and executive management.
Team Management
- Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent to build a high-performing technology team.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Implement best practices for software development, project management, and quality assurance.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate technological risks to the company’s operations and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or similar leadership role, preferably in B2B e-Commerce and SaaS solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of technological trends and a strategic vision for aligning technology with business growth.
- Strong expertise in product development, cloud server technology.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performance technology teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
