
What Autonomous Ground Vehicle does
Founded in 2010, Autonomous Ground Vehicle operates in Advanced Hardware & Technology offering a multi-disciplinary research group focused on building a fully operational self-driving car. The group consists of around 50 undergraduate students from various engineering disciplines, engaging in research related to autonomous and mobile robots with an emphasis on deep learning and reinforcement agents. Since their debut at the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition in 2012, the team has progressively refined their vehicle's technology, achieving notable success, including a second-place finish in the Auto-Nav challenge in 2018. The team's goals include improving performance at future competitions and developing a fully functional self-driving car as part of the Mahindra Rise Challenge.
